SUMMER DETOX

Ah, sweet Summertime. As the Summer Solstice approaches, I am reminded of the turning of the seasons, and how the only constant is change. With the days being their longest, and nights their shortest, we are seemingly given "more time"…a feeling of abundance - more energy, more life, and more joy; connection and fertility, and celebration. Nature is at her peak, thriving and bursting into bloom showing off all the hard work of growth from a tiny seed. It is also a time of fertility and creation to carry on to the next phase of life. With celebration, comes awareness. Intention AND attention. With a world busying us with constant distractions, it feels especially important to take a digital detox to honor the NOW. To be present in the sunshine, as we begin a slow descent inward toward Winter.

CHAMOMILE - often associated with purification, renewal, and healing which feels especially supportive for a detox…renewing my attention to the present moment, clearing and purifying this time of the year to receive the abundance of light, and healing the disconnect from Nature and myself.

BERGAMOT - has a rather sunny and subtle citrus scent that speaks summertime, it is refreshing and slightly sweet with some depth, just like Summer reminds me to celebrate the hard work and live in the present moment. Bergamot invokes clear mindedness to channel intuition and discernment of what YOU need most.

MAGNOLIA - when I see a magnolia bloom, I can't help but stop and stare. The pure beauty coupled with a sense of endurance and hardiness, yet another reminder of resilience and the beauty that unfolds through the other side.
